Wired News: Orgasmatron Puts Tech in Sex
A Texas company claims to have invented a kind of Orgasmatron for women -- an electrical stimulation device that takes women to a pre-orgasmic state.
Stimulation Systems' Slightest Touch is a $200 battery-powered device that electrically stimulates sexual nerve pathways in a woman's pelvis.
About the size of a Walkman, the Slightest Touch works via a pair of electrical pads attached to the ankles.
According to the company, the current stimulates two acupuncture points related to three nerve pathways in the pelvic region -- the hypogastric, pelvic and pudendal nerves.
"This is a nice marriage of high technology, classic nerve theory and ancient Chinese meridian theory," said senior design engineer Norman Comparini.
The device produces a "very gentle tingling sensation" in the lower ankle, and "butterflies" or "sparklers" in the pelvis, said Cherisse Davidson, Stimulation Systems' director of customer support, who said she's been using the device for more than three years.

LONDON, England (Reuters) -- Six British schoolboys were rushed to the hospital after taking the erection-enhancing drug Viagra at lunchtime for a dare, the school said Thursday.
Paramedics were called after a fellow student told teachers about the 13-year-olds' prank, a spokesperson for Forest School in Winnersh, in southern England, said.
The local education authority said they think the student took the pills from home and brought them to the all-boys school where he shared them with five friends.
The school has a no drugs policy and the students likely will face punishment, especially the student who brought the pills into school, the education authority said.
The Sun newspaper quoted a source at the school as saying: "By the time the afternoon lessons began, there was no hiding what they had done."
Paramedics took the six squirming boys to the nearby Royal Berkshire Hospital, where they were monitored until the effects wore off.
The effects of Viagra are typically felt for up to 4 hours, according to viagra.com.

Film producers Satt und Durstig organized a premiere in Berlin last month after a successful test run in the northern city of Hamburg and the trend has already spawned imitators in other major cities.
The event follows the rules of traditional karaoke but instead of standing in for Whitney Houston or Frank Sinatra, contestants belt out the parts of adult movie stars.
Players pair off in male-female teams as a XXX film is loaded into the projector. With the sound turned off, each duo is handed two microphones and has one minute to provide the aural fireworks for the action on the screen.
The crowd, which tends to find the show more comic than erotic, then chooses the couple that has given the most convincing, creative and ecstatic performance while faking an orgasm before hundreds of strangers.

"It was way out of control," said one photog. "They went totally overboard." The pop tart was filming an MTV special titled "In the Zone and Out All Night" to promote the Nov. 15 release of her new album.
At each of the three clubs, Britney pulled her red tank top over her head to reveal a skimpy pink lam bra (sported as she dominated a backup dancer during her striptease).
At Avalon, the Madonna (news - web sites) wannabe was briefly blindfolded and put in a leather chair as backup dancers gyrated around her.
But not everyone enjoyed the shows in which Britney performed two songs off her new album titled "In the Zone." One photographer called police after being put in a headlock by an MTV security guard, but reportedly decided against pressing charges. Security also grabbed a point-and-shoot from a female fan, who was later seen crying, according to another photographer.
"Madonna's people don't pull this crap," fumed one lensman. "Big stars just don't get physical with us."

DAR ES SALAAM (Reuters) - A Tanzanian man has cut off his genitals in an attempt to win sympathy from creditors after squandering their money on prostitutes and alcohol, a newspaper reports.
The 24-year-old reached the decision after realising he could not pay back millions of shillings lent to him by friends and relatives with the intention he would invest it in a business venture.
The Guardian newspaper said the man's condition was improving after he received treatment at his local hospital in the east African country's northern Manyara region.
The report said it was the second such incident in the area in two months. Another man slashed off his genitals upon failing to settle a 300,000 shilling debt.
"Well, he won't need the prostitutes anymore."

The 39-year-old Cornell graduate has two master's degrees and 16 years of experience in her field, but those qualifications haven't helped ignite her career.
Goodwin says she's missed out on more than a dozen promotions in the past nine years because of gender and racial discrimination.
"I've been at Harvard for nine years and not once have I encountered a black professional librarian at any meeting or any gathering anywhere," Goodwin said. "I've heard about them, but I haven't seen one."
In her complaint, Goodwin says she was passed over for 13 promotions that went to white men and women with less experience and fewer qualifications. She also said her female boss identified her "sexy" wardrobe, "low- cut" tops and an alleged bad reputation as reasons for her professional stagnation.
"A man would never be penalized for being too attractive," Goodwin said. "It could only enhance a man's career if he is sexy. Look at Arnold Schwarzenegger. Exaggerated femininity will work against you, but hyper-masculinity will work in your favor."
Goodwin, who still works at the Harvard Design School's Frances Loeb Library, said her boss's claims were bogus.
"White women wore sexy clothes, were outgoing, attractive and they were getting mentored and getting promoted, while I was being ignored and asked to work extra hours," Goodwin said. "I think it is racist because they feel threatened by the success of someone they don't feel is like them."
Goodwin added that most of the people in a position to hire and promote new staff members are white and called their lack of support for her advancement "cultural nepotism."
"They repeatedly select young white men and women to mentor as their protegees," she said.
Goodwin said she was told she'd never get a promotion at the Ivy League institution. She also claims a supervisor told her she'd "have no problem getting a job elsewhere because the first thing employers look for is a qualified black person."
Harvard University said the suit doesn't have legs.
"The case is without merit," Harvard spokesman, Joe Wrinn, said in a statement. "Gender and race were not factors."
Wrinn said the proof is in the pudding: The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination both dismissed Goodwin's case.
The university has filed a motion in Boston federal court to dismiss the complaint. Goodwin has until Oct. 31 to respond.

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The lawyers for a former Miss North Carolina have filed a motion to disqualify the arbitrator in her case, alleging that he is no longer impartial.
The lawyers claim Judge Conley Ingram, of Georgia, has become obsessed with alleged topless photographs taken of Rebekah Revels by her former boyfriend Tosh Welch.
After learning of the photos, pageant officials forced Revels off her Miss North Carolina throne last year. Revels sued the pageant for breach of contract.
Revels lawyer Barry Nakell said Ingram has insisted on seeing the photos.
Nakell said he has told Ingram that he's willing to supply the photos with just her face showing, but that offer was refused.
Nakell said Miss North Carolina officials are required to respond to the motion by Thursday.
Ingram could not be reached for comment early Tuesday.
